Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out today’s new papercraft project. This week the WWYS Challenge is stamping with Still Night stamp set. The images carry both s haunting and artistic look but I’m going in a different direction today. My children, like most others, like to fit together with Hubby and I and watch a movie for family time. One of their favorites is Troll movie, with it’s sing-a-long tunes and bright colors. In fact, the colors are very close to Stampin’ Up!®’s Brights Collection of color. When working on a project for today, it’s no surprise that I felt the need to integrate the colors from Trolls into my project.

Crafting with a kid’s theme
One of the joys of being mom to my your children is getting a new perspective in trends. It’s turned up in my color combos most of all, as evidence of today’s project. The movie “Trolls” is a favorite of my children and they enjoy singing along to the bright colored characters on the screen.
I’m loving this color combo for the owl and the whimsical cartoon styled trees. Surprisingly, all of the die cuts are from the original Bundle that is part of the Still Night stamp set. Looking at it with these colors brings me an all new perspective to making a holiday card. The owl is stamped in a neutral color before adding color with Stampin’ Blends markers. It seemed fitting to go with a polka dot design as well so adding the Polka Dots Basic embossing folder and the polka dotted DSP was easy. The DSP fie cut ovals for the tree have tone on tone subtle shading added with the coordinating color marker.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase.
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
