Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out today’s new papercraft project. This week the WWYS Challenge is stamping with Lilypad Lake stamp set. Gorgeous images that will fit any occasion card, and I mean ANY occasion! I’ve made lots of guy cards with this set but opted today for a more peaceful card that will suit any friend in need.

I’ve had this card idea in mind for some time and an happy to have made it in real life. Pretty fire colored flowers floating on a tranquil pond…. yep, that’s where I’d like to be. This is one of the most versatile stamp sets I think I’ve worked with in a while. I really like how the images lend themselves to so many different uses.
This project started with the watercolor wash background. I used the wet on wet technique and allowed the colors to flow together. Wanting there to be a light source, I added hints of yellow at the top of the panel and also onto the flowers. Bringing in light means I had to add shadows as well, lol, so I achieved a depth of color with the purple. This helps the darker flower really look farther away and I love this little trick!
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase.
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
