Hello and thanks for stopping by today! I have another really easy card to share with you today. Do you adore the beautiful floral images in the Petal Promenade DSP pack as much as I do?. I admittedly am not able to use it easily, as the patterns are very “busy” and don’t always adapt itself into my simple designs. Let’s check out a See through card front idea that really let’s the paper show off and work it’s magic.
See through card front
measurements for this project
Fresh Fig card stock card base back: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (not folded or scored)
Petal Promenade DSP card base middle: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Window Sheet (acetate) card base front: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White card stock scraps for die cut label and flowers
This is a very easy and elegant card design that can be adapted for any theme or occasion. With the front of the card being transparent, I can now feature any of the gorgeous patterned papers on the inside to show through.
The idea developed out of a need to show the Springtime Impression large floral die cut. I wanted it to pair up with the DSP but was not able to wrap my head around how to get the look I imagined for this project. By sandwiching the hidden hinge of Window Sheet between the back piece of cardstock and the DSP, I’m able to have a card front that is transparent and lets this beauty of a die cut really stand out. Toss in this amazing sentiment from Abstract Impressions and it’s a project I am excited to get off in the mail right away 🙂
