Owl House candy holder with Video

Owl House Candy Holder

The images from Spooky Cat stamp set are useful in so many projects this year! Today I’m sharing an owl house candy holder that I created to accompany a card featured on my blog yesterday. Here is a link to that project.

The owl house candy holder was so cute that I felt it deserved to be featured in a blog post all by itself! I used Sweet Home Thinlits dies to create the house and the owl is of course from Spooky Cat stamp set. It’s mostly for my kids to play with so it’s alright with them that owl’s don’t often live in a house, lol, they live in a nest in a tree. These little paper houses are popular with my kids because we can fashion them to any style and they work nicely with their Thomas the tank engine toys.

Owl House Candy Holder from Sweet Home Framelits dies

If you have not yet had the opportunity to create with these framelits dies, you need to try it soon. The house is easy to assemble, simple to decorate in any season or style and perfect to hold a piece of candy. There are even two door openings that allow the choice of square or rounded door. My oldest son like a front and a back door for his houses and almost always asks for a black house. Black is his favorite color and the decorations show up nicely when he makes brightly colored decorations.
