May Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Do you have special photos that are sitting and waiting to be scrapbooked? I certainly do! Every season brings me more special memories to record. For today’s project, I am participating in the May Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. Many other crafters and I have linked our blog posts together to enable readers to “hop” from one project to another. Most of our projects will feature the same layout theme as well, in hopes of giving lots of ideas for you to craft.

Serene Garden stamp set

The upcoming 2018 Annual Catalog is chock full of fantastic products. Serene Garden is a large floral stamp set with a fresh open line design that is perfect for coloring. I love this photo of my youngest son, Nate, who has a birthday in May. He was always one to give Mommy a big camera smile and I’m thankful to have captured this one here. Nate has been talking about and yearning for this birthday for about 4 months, lol. True story! This boy is amazing and I felt that capturing the month of May in an art journal would be a great way to save the memories.

I often craft with scraps of watercolor paper but for this new art journal, I chose to use the sheet as a whole, in landscape, and once completed I will bind it as an album. There will be more doodles and stamping I add to the page but for now, I have documented info about his birthday plans and that is was a cold & wet month. I used the stamps to create a wetland look with pretty florals and the look of water.
