The inspiration for this project is my 4 year old son and his fantastic blue sneakers. He loves his blue shoes and often sings a tune from one of his favorite books with the characters called Pete the Cat. Pete loves his blue shoes, just like my son. It was a must for me to get these blue shoes into a project with Epic Celebrations stamp set. Be sure to watch the video tutorial, where I show my son’s blue shoes as well.
Epic Celebrations stamp set is available as a Sale-a-bration FREE choice with your $50 purchase in my online store until March 31st.
New to Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog is Brusho Crystal Color powdered watercolors. Brusho is an exciting coloring tool! I’ve used the prussian blue powder with a Stampin’ Spritzer to create a grungy background for the blue shoes. After spritzing the paper, I added the powdered crystals, then spritzed again to se the color start moving. Leaving the powder heavy on the stamped image makes it more grungy close to the shoes.
