Hello and thanks for stopping by today. The project I have on hand to share with you has a seasonal look, a bit rustic while still clean and simple. The new Making Every Day Bright stamp set covers every occasion under the sun! This stamp set coordinated with another new product, the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch, both from the 2018 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.
Stamping a textured background

Dashing Along DSP + Burlap Background stamp
Creating depth to a piece of patterned paper can be as easy as adding one background image.
Finding just the right piece of DSP is the fun part for me. I look for a piece of paper that would compliment a background texture, such as the stamp I used for this project. The Burlap background stamp is very simple in design and lends the look of a textured fabric. I’ve stamped tone on tone with Cherry Cobbler ink on the Dashing Along DSP to give just a little bit more to the paper. I also tried doing this with a VersaMark stamp pad but the results were not quite as good .
The stamped images are created from the First Frost Bundle and the Stamparatus. Adding color with a sponge dauber in layers gives these pretty images each a unique color. For a visual demonstration of this project, see the video link below.
