What personal data we collect and why we collect it


We may log payments made through PayPal in order to help resolve payment issues; this may happen in response to another users payment problem.  All your order information you entered is recorded in the log, but once we have resolved any issues the log will be removed and such logging will be turned off.  See Data Retention below as to what information about your order is retained.

Our website is hosted on SiteGround servers and as with any server, requests are recorded.  In those logs, the information recorded is Date, Time, IP Address, User Agent (Browser, robot or other application that makes requests to the server), and resource requested (webpage, image, or other data stored on the website).  These logs are maintained for the previous 30 days.  SiteGround’s Privacy Policy.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

European Union residents have the right to be forgotten. If you wish to exercise your right to be forgotten, then we can delete all your comments.  Please contact our webmaster as noted below in the contact section.


This site uses cookies for three purposes 1) Track the state of the website 2) Google Analytics, and 3)  Newsletter Subscription Campaign. Under the first purpose cookies do not collect personal information but allow the website to function properly and are not subject to consent.

Under the second purpose Google uses a cookie which permits it to provide analytics to us.  It does not use your full IP address to do this; only part of your IP address is used thus rendering it anonymous since Google Analytics cannot trace any requests made by you back to you.  The information gathered by Google Analytics tracks general geographic location, browser used, pages visited, and length of stay on each page.  Disallowing non-essential cookies prevents Google Analytics from being used and its cookies.  We would hope that you would allow us to use it as it helps us to see how our website is being used.

Under the third purpose (Privy Privacy) uses a cookie but there is no personal information captured. Along with Privy’s cookies come two other cookies one from ShareThis (ShareThis privacy) and another from Tynt (Privacy Policy).  Only anonymous data is gathered not personal information. In addition ShareThis gives you the ability to opt out of Interest Based Advertising.  Rejecting non-essential cookies will prevent you from seeing the pop-up subscription and having its cookies on your browser.

This site uses HTTPS, a secure way of accessing websites because it encrypts data sent to this website by you so attackers cannot see it.  This is indicated by the lock icon next to the address bar.  In addition we use HTTP Strict Transport Security which forces your browser to access our site via HTTPS.  Only your initial request to load our site is via HTTP; even then you are immediately redirected so that you are using HTTPS to view our site; every subsequent visit to our site is solely via HTTPS.
