Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Do you have special photos that are sitting and waiting to be scrapbooked? I certainly do! Every season brings me more special memories to record. For today’s project, I am participating in the September Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. Many other crafters and I have linked our blog posts together to enable readers to “hop” from one project to another. Most of our projects will feature a fun layout and theme as well, in hopes of giving lots of ideas for you to craft.

First Day of School
We were anxious for the first day of school this year. When the day arrived, we paused for a brief photo session on the front porch of our home to make a memory of the day. Our oldest son, Trip, is starting Third Grade and Nate is headed to Kindergarten. I can hardly believe it! They are growing up too fast. It is a comfort to have these days recorded in my memory keeping.
When documenting our family memories on paper, it’s most fun for me to add a bit of myself into each page. This project contains a small bit of my love for sewing. There are a few stitched lines around the edge of the page that give nice texture and subtle accents. For a play with words, I added the letters s-c-h-o-o-l created with the Lined Alphabet Bundle. Be sure to watch the Video Demonstration for exactly how I created with the letters. The neutral color scheme has fun red accents and allows the photos to take center stage in this project. A few stamped images from Enjoy Life stamp set help carry the encouraging message.
