Hello and thanks for stopping over for today’s project. Over the last month I have shared many ways to use the Blended Seasons Bundle. The Blended Seasons stamp set is a great all occasion stamp set to have on hand, the Stitched Seasons Framelits dies are really amazing with the double stitched label dies. Today’s focus is more on the limited edition Watercolor Pencils Assortment #2. They are a companion set to the original Watercolor Pencils and I really like the color variety they contain.

Coloring with pencils brings me back to my earliest memories my art. I can remember being a Middle School student and being allowed to use “map colors” in the Geography classroom. I fell in love with colored pencils from that moment and have often enjoyed a few self indulgent moments of coloring just as a stress release. Crayons are also fun but I feel much more control over the pencils and like working a variety of styles into the projects I create. Add in that the watercolor element and I’m hooked!
For a limited time, Stampin’ Up!(r) is offering the assortment #2 of colors as a companion to the initial release of colors. By putting these two pack together, it’s a nice array for many of my projects. Today’s project was one of those self indulgent projects. There are many colors I could have chosen but purple was really talking to me when I created this project, lol. Thus, the purple and green leaves. The card base is dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder to give beautiful texture under the layer of Stitched Seasons Framelits label. The leaves were stamped with the Stazon Black stamp pad, then I colored the leaves and activated the color with a Blender Pen. Fussy cutting them was quick work before placing them on the card front.
