CASE’ing the Holiday Catalog

Still Night Bundle

With a mini catalog, or seasonal catalog, I tend to first lean to the occasions that will come up on my calendar first, rather than farther away. With the end of summer in close sight, I’m already creating for Fall. This amazing owl image from the Night Owl Thinlits Dies set is not only quick and easy… it’s a beauty.

The Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper I chose to create with is not meant to coordinate with the Still Night stamp set but I find it is a great set of images with beautiful tones that translate will into the Still Night Bundle. And there’s a shimmer to the paper that’s unlike anything I’ve worked with. My project is a very simple card design, my main focus was to find a paper that would allow the die cuts to stand out. In the Holiday Catalog on page 40 is the design I have chosen to CASE (or copy). Needing to tweak it and make it my own creation, I changes the colors and paper but the position of the die cuts is the same. Be sure to check out the catalog’s version and the amazing colors that the artist used in creating the catalog samples.
Using the catalog pages for inspiration is a great way to acquaint yourself with new products and our blog hop will help you with lots of new ideas! Be sure to visit my friends for crafty inspiration 🙂

In answer to many questions, yes I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and YES you can join my team. I have a non-geographical team, which means you can live anywhere in the US and participate on my team. I hold monthly meetings via FaceBook LIVE in which you assemble a prepared project. Now is also the best time to join as a hobby demo. It’s a win=win for you !

  1. Check your Bundle to make sure your stamps and dies will work together. I received one that didn’t work well together at all! This a beautiful bundle, I would hate for anyone to not be able to use it to it’s full compassties. I’m sorry for my spelling, I looked in the dictionary for the spelling and couldn’t find it. Who knows I might have designed a new word today! LOL! Just wanted you to know! Thank you so much for sharing your projects with us! You always make me see another way to make or add to a card! For that, I say “Thank YOU again!” Are you going to OnStage? I would love to meet you!

  2. Jenny I’m enchanted with your spooky owl in the forest. Love how you tweaked the pg 40 sample and really created a unique and beautiful one of your own. The paper mix is a good choice and I love the owl in white. It adds to the mystique. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
