Hello and thanks for stopping by today! When stamping an image, do you sometimes feel more of a connection with a stamp set? I really like bird stamps, as you know, and put a bit more of myself into the project when working on those cards. Healing Hugs is another such stamp set, I especially like the sentiments. Let’s take a look at a Healing Hugs Wreath card.

Isn’t this a beauty?!? The large floral image is sized to fit nicely as a focal point of a standard notecard. The sentiments are really the showstopper here for me. And who can resist a wreath card? Healing Hugs stamp set is available today in my online store.
I started by stamping the leaf image with VersaMark ink and heat setting with White Emboss Powder. After fussy cutting quite a lot of the leaf branches, lol, I thought to add some color inside the wreath area. The card panel is watercolor paper. I chose to use it because it could hold a very small amount of color in a subtle way that I can not easily achieve with standard white card stock. After the color was applied, I stamped the sentiment and allowed it to dry. The small cluster was stamped as a second generation under where the leaves will lay.
The vellum leaves are placed overlapping each other, which was a great opportunity for placing a Mini Glue Dot at the point they meet. The tip of the Blender Pen dipped into the stamp pad works as a great tool to create the look of berries! Add in a few Artisan pearls and it’s so much more than just a circle of leaves.
