Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is a project focusing on polka dots. How fun is that? Polka dots are so much fun and are a great way to build texture in a handmade card. This project uses the Polka Dot Basic Embossing Folder as well as some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to bring the theme around the design. Let’s check it out…

Clean and Simple
Among the many ways I use to create a clean and simple design is to build layers with white on white. The card base, embossed panel, ribbon and sentiment are all white tones. The punch of color can be vibrant and refreshing and helps to enhance the white areas. To build the colors, I took a cue from the sentiment. When I’m not feeling well, I like to drink peppermint tea and the leaf images from Healing Hugs stamp set remind me of herbs, and could be translated into peppermint!
Blue, teal and green are a color combo I find enticing and set into a clean and simple card, evoke happy thoughts for me. I stamped the leaf images in black and used Stampin Blends alcohol markers to color. After coloring, the leaf clusters were fussy cut to feature with the sentiment.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase.
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
