Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the June Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop. Our Guest Designer this month is the talented Anja Luft! We are so happy to have her hopping this month, don’t forget to stop over at her blog (links below) and show some love. Below are links to all of the blogs in this Hop, showing more ideas with how we are inspired in our crafting. Are you excited? I have chosen to create a gift card hidden package.
June Creating Kindness Blog Hop
measurements for this project
Whisper White Thick card stock card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Whisper White card stock layer: 2 5/8″ x 4 5/8″
Watercolor paper panel: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
Lilypad Lake stamp set
Graduation season is upon us! I have so many young men to create for, that I am stocking up on masculine cards with a graduation and congratulations theme. The watercolor wash for the background was simple and easy to create with only two colors of ink. The boats are colored on watercolor paper as well. The guys almost always would rather accept cash or a gift card, and I dislike just dropping it inside the card. There must be a better way!

A Hidden Compartment!
Creating this hidden compartment was easy… nearly too easy in fact! I simply left the foam adhesive strips off of the right handed side of the panel and that made room to slide a gift card in and out. To make it obvious that there is something hiding behind the panel. I added a pull tab using the Circle Tab Punch and a tiny arrow stamp from Thoughtful Banners.
