Hello and thanks for stopping by today! This week the What Will You Stamp design team are stamping with Love What You Do stamp set. Beautifully drawn sayings and images you can style any way you choose. To accent these beautiful images, I am creating a custom colored layer of card stock with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers with some really fun results.

Love What You Do stamp set
Classic styled images ready to color or fussy cut, Love What You Do is just plain old fun to craft with.
The florals make a really nice addition to the Share What You Love suite of products but I am more recently drawn to the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder. My boys have been watching the Disney movie “Coco” with all of the beautiful colors and fun music. What I like most about the movie is the artwork and the Hispanic culture. This card was inspired by the hanging banners that seem to tell a story in the lovely cut out images. After a bit of research, I discovered they are Papel Picado, which according to Wikipedia, translates into pecked paper.
Creating a custom colored layer for this project was the “pop of whimsy” I wanted to include. This embossed image from the Lovely Floral embossing folder is enough on it’s own.. but how can it be made a bit more special? I chose to accent the image by making a layer of card stock that has vibrant but varied color. The blue color seems to move, sort of like neon. Bermuda Bay dark and light Stampin’ Blends markers along with Pool Party dark were scribbled and blended together just on the outside of the paper, coloring in at about 1/2″. The sentiment is stamped also in Bermuda Bay, and also heat embossed with Clear embossing powder to help it stand out against the white background.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
