March Stampin Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the March Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop, featuring projects made with a common theme of Easter. I had a vision in my mind of a shining cross against a blue sky and recruited the ink smooshing technique for that easy and natural look. And it’s different for every card created.

Cross of Hope Bundle

Crafting with the Cross of Hope Bundle for the March Stampin Dreams Blog Hop was a natural choice for me. There is no sentiment in Hold on to Hope stamp set that reads Happy Easter so I enlisted Sweet Little Something and the Everyday Label Punch. I have been working with the new Stamparatus and am excited to try new techniques with it, such as ombre stamping.

The blue, cloudy sky background is created with the ink smooshing technique. By dabbing ink from the Soft Sky stamp pad and misting it with a Stampin Spritzer, the paper is dipped into the diluted ink and come out as a natural looking image.

  1. Beautiful card Jenny, as always. I also just watched your video for your Easter card using the flower from the Springtime Forals DSP won the the wrap for the great. All gorgeous. However I would like to ask if you would do the videos for some of your more difficult cards rather than some of the more simple ones that are easier to create from just the tutorials. Thank you very much.

    • Hi, Susan! At the moment my schedule allows me to create 7 projects per week, with 3 of those having a video tutorial. Would that I could video, edit and upload all 7… it would be wonderful. However, I am a mom of two young boys with special needs. Getting three videos out per week is my limit. I did create a video earlier this month that shows the messy watercolor technique, did you watch that video? Here is a link: . I very much appreciate your feedback and encourage you to keep making comments about what sort of content you would like to see. It helps me in scheduling project for those video days. Did you visit my tutorials page? There are many tutorials that you can browse to see if there is something you are looking for.

  2. WOW Jenny. I love the finished look of your card, the softness is perfect. Smooshing is one of my fave techniques 🙂
May I ask is your card just recessed or is it a folded box with a card opening?

I love to read your comments! Please leave one here.
