Hello and thanks for stopping by today! The second release of Sale-a-bration is here and it brings some of the most waited for items. Now offered for choice of a free item with purchase is Springtime Foils DSP. If you have not yet had a go at this paper, you are really out. It’s a very heavy paper with four different foil patterns and color. I want to explore what possibilities I can come up with this paper so I created a Bridge Fold box card from one of Bronwyn’s amazing tutorials at AddINKtive Designs.

Color Me Happy stamp set
Fancy fold cards are not always a giant undertaking but they can be intimidating. Here is how I approach each project; the finished card will fit into a standard envelope, so…… it can’t be too big a project for me to tackle. Putting it into perspective is a big help. Plus, Bronwyn’s tutorials are really easy to follow, step by step and loads of photos.
When the Stampin’ Blends marker set was released, there was a special stamp, Color Me Happy stamp set and the Color Me Happy Kit released as well. And we still offer it in the online store! There are two gorgeous birds in this set, as well as other images that are ready for coloring. I used a few of the Stampin Blends to color the birds. The inspiration for this project was actually the Springtime Foils DSP. The silver paper with straight lines remind me of fence lines and power lines that often hold a bird or two. Paired with the Sweet Soiree Sale-a-bration card pack, also free!, and I have a garden with birdsong… right in my hand.
Tips for this project
This box card design is perfect when I want to send a card that will be more than a card. Extremely sturdy and standing on it’s own, it really makes a statement.
The Color Me Happy birds are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White Thick card stock, then colored with Stampin Blends. Once the birds are fussy cut, I attached them to the box and bridge section of the card.
The background paper is the Sweet Soiree Memories & More card pack that is also a Sale-a-bration item. They will not be available after March 1st, so I’m glad to have them now as a free item with purchase.
The bridge and box section is created with Springtime Foils DSP. It’s a very sturdy paper and is a perfect fit for this fold.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase.
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
