Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Today is the December A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, celebrating the Flora & Flutter kit. Below are link to all of the blogs in this Hop, showing more ways to use the supplies in the box. I have chosen to create a matching gift box and card and also a peekaboo shaker card. So much fun!
Paper Pumpkin Flora & Flutter Kit
measurements for this project
Both cards are on a card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and the Mini Pizza Box is 3″ x 3″
Paper Pumpkin Thank you card & gift box
Oh my! This is a beautiful kit. Loads of organized die cuts, Glimmer paper, stamps…. it’s all here. And everything needed to complete the cards is in the kit, including ink! What if there is another design that comes to mind with the Paper Pumpkin kit’s supplies? That’s where this Blog Hop comes in handy. With the circular die cut cards, I cut away the die cuts and used them to create a thank you card and decorated a Mini Pizza Box. The Glimmer paper is a perfect background for the beautiful die cuts and really brings in the sparkle. I’m always in need of thank you cards, especially after the Christmas season.
Paper Pumpkin Peekaboo Shaker card
Getting a look at the butterfly stamp in this stamp set drew me to the butterflies. The pre-cut butterflies are ready to stamp, so I stamped them in black and colored them all blue with my good old Stampin’ Write Markers. By stamping and coloring them on both sides, they can be seen from both sides…. which got me thinking of ways to use them in this way. The beautiful leaf die cuts are a perfect way to feature the butterflies in a shaker card, but better yet, a double sided shaker card!
Tips for creating this project:
With a Layering Square die, it’s easy to cut the card front and card base in the same pass. And it lines up the peekaboo area.
Two pieces of Window Sheet will feature the die cuts and let some glitter sparkle and shine.
The excitement of seeing all the way through the card front is so much fun! Looking at the butterflies from both sides of the card can lead to loads more ideas.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. I hope you like this project and will come back to visit often! Thanks for stopping by today.
