Hello and thanks for stopping by today! When I think or Christmastime, my mind first goes to vintage or nostalgic style. Dean Martin crooning his smooth tunes, stop motion animated children’s programs and much more. My family enjoys both old and new tree decorations and creating a nostalgic Christmas card is very natural in my style.

Snowflake Sentiments Bundle
Adapting a current stamp set into a specific theme doesn’t always work out. I’ve watched the font of different artwork over the years and while something may look trendy, how long will it get use? Snowflake Sentiments stamp set is in a class of style I like to call evergreen. While looking modern today, it also seems to fit well into the style of other eras.
How to create a nostalgic look
My all-time favorite decade is the 1940’s, with the evolution of modern design, stepped up musical beats and big bands and unique style. Thoughts of dapper young men in crisp uniforms, ladies with bright lipstick and loads of tinsel to hang in holiday decoration. Colors jump to mind from these thoughts and into my projects as well. For this color challenge project, I need to create with green, red and gold. With the things floating in my imagination, it’s no wonder my colors came out as Always Artichoke, Real Read and Gold Glimmer. The Post Script stamp set ties in the mood of times when letter writing was the chosen form of staying in touch.
