Bubble Over Crate of Drinks Card

I would not have guessed that soda pop bottles would wow a crowd, but… oh my!!  A favorite of many stampers at this year’s 2018 Occasions Catalog OnStage Display Stamper products was the Bubble Over stamp set. As if the stamps and dies are not enough, there is hands down, the coolest DSP! I have used the paper on several projects for my OnStage Display and am very happy with it’s versatility. I hope you like it as well 🙂

My project is created with Bubble Over stamp set that was part of my 2018 OnStage Display Stamper products from the Occasions Catalog and SaleABration Brochure. The stamp set will be available for purchase January 2018. There will also be a set of matching Framelits and patterned paper.

Bubble Over stamp set

There are three new products on this project! Can you spot them? The Bubble Over stamp set has the image of many different drink bottles and I chose the small bottle in this card. I also chose a sentiment to feature on top of the bottle. New Bubble & Fizz Designer Series Paper plus the paper ribbon as loads of creativity. I will share many more projects using these products in the near future.

Tips for this project

The background is not the focal point but it was so much fun to create! I stamped Tree Rings stamp in VersaMark clear sticky ink onto Glossy White Paper. Once dry, I ran a sponge brayer over it with three inks and got the look of the “ghosting technique”. I learned of this technique from my good friend Cheryll Miller of Sense of Whimsy. Here is a link to Cheryll’s Blog:

Don’t be afraid to only use DSP in a different way. I fussy cut around all the little bottles to get them to appear to sit inside the crate. The wood die cut crate has a layer of new paper ribbon under the Wood Textures DSP to help hide the fussy cut bottles’s bottom. It also gives depth to the project and was fun to use! Who knew paper ribbon was so cool? Stampin’ Up! did 🙂

Using Champagne Foil sheets in this project helped me to echo several different colors into rich tones. Try using it in your next project as an accent to achieve a new look.
