Sweet Little Something Butterfly Card

In my crafting experience, it seems that I have learned two things for certain… you can never go wrong with a butterfly or glimmer paper. In the box of supplies I received as a 2018 OnStage Display Stamper, there was a package of gorgeous new Glimmer Paper. Lemon Lime Twist is a fantastic color and I’m excited to share this twist on an Easter card using the new sparkle Glimmer Paper.

My project is created with Sweet Little Something stamp set that was part of my 2018 OnStage Display Stamper products from the Occasions Catalog and SaleABration Brochure. The stamp set will be available for purchase January 2018. The Butterflies Thinlits Dies work great with the flowers and sentiment in this stamp set!

Sweet Little Something stamp set

There are two new products on this project! The Sweet Little Something stamp set has the image of a plush toy bunny that pairs well with any baby project, but I chose not to use it in this card. Instead I chose a butterfly die cut to feature on top of this wonderful paper. I will share many more projects using this stamp set in the near future.

Tips for this project

To allow the Glimmer Paper to show well, I first die cut the butterfly and then raised up the wings a bit.

Don’t be afraid to only use the sentiment from a stamp set, if it’s a good one. Any Easter sentiment works great in my crafting and will really go a long way in my supplies.

Using a large die cut over a Glimmer Paper has a dramatic effect. Balance this out in the design with loads of white space to allow some place for the eye to rest.
