Color Me Happy robin card for #SIP125 with Video
Color Me Happy Robin Card
This week at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge, there is a color challenge! A color challenge is a fantastic opportunity to insert your personal style into a pre-set design. I’ve been sharing projects created with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and these preset colors are perfect for coloring one of my favorite birds, the robin. Creating a robin card is made easy in today’s tutorial.
This is a great opportunity to create a card with any products you wish while following the idea of a pre set theme. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

And my card also fits the TGIF Challenge! Check out their fabulous sketch this week.
How to create a robin from a bird stamp
Have you participated in this type of challenge? It so much fun! The SIP Design Team never fails to impress me with their fantastic card creations. With this type of challenge, the creativity level is incredible!
Brown, yellow and rust are the colors for this challenge and I’ll need to stick to them for this project. I’ve chosen to feature a brown strip of Wood Textures DSP, a punched 2: circle that’s colored yellow with the markers and a robin. The robin is one of my favorite birds and robin’s egg blue is my absolute favorite color. I see many robins at morning time and chose to give the look of a sunrise for this project. By fusing browns with oranges and reds, the bird has a natural look that was easy to achieve with markers. The Color Me Happy stamps have wonderful lines to follow for shading, which helped me know where the color changes would need to be located. What bird color would you choose to create?
Coloring with Stampin’ Blends Markers
Stampin’ Blends markers are a dream to color with and having a great stamped image to add to the mix is a big plus! I like to use the markers in different shades to get a natural look. For a visual demonstration of how I achieved coloring on this project, check out the video by clicking on the links below.
