Crafting Forever stamp set

Handmade cards and gifts are a passion I have had since childhood. My parents were crafters and my sister is a crafter. We like to keep busy with our hands and also share a gift with those we care for. The sentiment in this stamp set says it all, “Do something creative every day”. Maybe not on sick days, but on most days, this is a way of life for me. Using this set is a natural choice for me to share what I love in the World Card Making Day Blog Hop.

The images in Crafting Forever are cute and clever! I love that I can make a card with the image of the scissors I use daily! How do you channel your creative outlet? If you are reading this blog, odds are you have also been bitten by the crafty bug, lol.

Tips for today’s project

When creating a panel with an embossed image (from an embossing folder) I like to add a piece of card stock behind it for stability that is 1/8″ larger. It created a “framed” look and makes the layers more solid.

Layering Circles Framelits and the Stitched Shapes work really well together, so use them as a team!

The scissors are stamped with Smoky Slate ink, not waterproof. The water based ink allows me to move the color around to fill in the painted image. Adding more color in the shadows gives the scissor a look more pleasing.
