2017 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop
Today I am pleased to participate in the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop. We are all featuring a project that uses a product from the upcoming catalog. I have chosen to use Merry Little Labels stamp set, the Everyday Label Punch + the Leaf Punch and some new patterned paper to create a card and gift all rolled up into one unit. It’s a tea bag gift card that’s easy to duplicate with success!

Merry Little Labels card and tea bag holder
We all have many reasons for gifting a handmade card to a friend or loved one. For times that we can not sit together and chat over a warm cup of tea, sending a your kind words and the reminder of your intentions can bring a smile. In today’s project, I have slipped a bag of one of my favorite teas into the pieces of paper. It’s a gift holder and greeting card – all in one!
I started out with Lots of Labels Framelits dies and cut out a piece of the beautiful new Painted Autumn DSP and Lemon Lime Twist card stock. To make the card stock layer for the DSP, I cut the card stock AFTER it was die cut. From the back, no one will see the cuts at all. There is a belly band wrapped around the tea bag and die cuts that is stamped with the Burlap stamp set. I chose to make this out of paper, and not actual ribbon, because the paper can tear away to remove the tea bag in case something gets a bit too sticky in the mail.
The medallion and accents are made from two new punches in the Holiday Catalog. The Leaf Punch is the coolest! I did not use the coordinating stamp set for the Leaf Punch, instead I punched out leaves from a scrap of the new Champagne Foil Sheets, to match the die cut label. The sentiment is stamped with Merry Little Labels stamp set and the Everyday Label Punch. Did you notice how well it works with and accents the Lots of Labels Framelits dies?
