Travel Theme card with Video for #SIP112

Travel Theme Card

This week at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge, we are creating a travel theme card. This is a great opportunity to create a card with any products you wish while following the idea of a pre set theme. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits Dies

Lift Me Up is a really cool stamp set. The balloons are beautifully drawn and lend a detailed look that translates well into different cardmaking styles. To create the hot air balloon on this project I first die cut the large balloon image onto Shimmery White card stock. Then the backing pieces were added in different hues of neutral colored paper. To adhere all of the backing pieces I first attached a strip of Sizzix Adhesive Sheets. To see instructions on adhering this to the paper, see the video below.

Post Script Background stamp

Background stamps as quick and easy to add a large image to a cardmaking project. For stamping large images I like to lay the stamp on my work surface with the image facing up. Then ink is applied to the stamp and the paper is carefully placed onto the stamp. Adding a piece of printer paper over the top will keep your hands clean while giving gentle pressure to the image.
