I am in slot #1 . Voting is done by clicking on the heart in the upper right hand corner of the picture that appears when your mouse hovers over the photo.
Our theme for this highlight is gratitude. We will all be using different Stampin’ Up! products with the same theme, but imagine how many different card designs there will be for us all to say thank you ?!?
The focal point of the card is most certainly the silver embossing. Creating dramatic effect with heat embossing is at once eye catching. I pulled colors together that share the same color tones. The stamping allowed the center color to be drawn out into the card. Coloring in the empty space in the stamping helps to transition the eye from the center of the target design.
Blues, grays and muted greens lend a subtle color transition. Which color combo would you choose? When stamping onto patterned paper, there can be an unpredictable base under the stamping. To even out the spaces of color in those areas, I use a Chalk Marker to dab on some white coloring in those tiny areas and it helps to settle things down a bit.
