Scrapbooking is a way to tell a visual story, versus a cardmaking project that we send to someone we care about. Many cardmaking supplies cross over into scrapbooking and vice versa, so it’s a natural progression to work in both mediums.
During the month of July, I will feature a scrapbook page design every Sunday. If you like this series, please be sure to comment on this blog post and I will keep the series going indefinitely.

June Paper Pumpkin kit and watermelons
Summertime and watermelons go hand in hand. The June Paper Pumpkin Kit, called One in a Melon, is a perfect setup for creating watermelon themed projects. Whether you complete the project as originally designed or you depart in the work of creative license, it’s a nice break to work on a project. In this scrapbook page, I have used some of the components from the kit during an afternoon of scrapbooking.
By using one of the paper bags, I die cut some watermelon rind styled numbers with Large Numbers Thinlits dies. This keeps with and carries the summer theme throughout the project. For a closer look at constructing the page, check out the instructional video at the links below to my YouTube Channel.
