Seaside Shore underwater scene for #WWYS121 with Video

Seaside Shore

Cuteness alert! Using techniques can help in making a success of your handmade card. There are so many ways to use our stamp pads and patterned paper, that it can get over complicated very easy. If you have ever wanted to create a scene with a special look, then I hope you like this card. For today’s project, I am bringing attention to a different way to build an ocean scene with Seaside Shore. This week at the What Will You Stamp challenge, we are stamping with Seaside Shore stamp set. Be sure to go over to the page and check out all of the Design Team’s cards this week and if you are up to a challenge…. add a photo of your card as well!

Building an Underwater Scene

To create an underwater scene, I chose to use a piece of Color Theory DSP in the background. The look of color division can set the tone for an easy design for the look of water. Keeping the water and sky neutral will allow the stamped creature images to really pop. My kids are drawn to this card and I love seeing the big smile on their faces!

Seaside Shore

Seaside Shore stamp set is packed full of ocean themed images. I choose fish as the main characters for this project. Letting them be brightly colored in watercolors helps bring brightness to muted water tones. As a bonus, I added a mermaid stamp from the new Message in s Bottle stamp set. She’s a cutie!

For a visual demonstration on how I created the waves of water, check out the video demonstration link below.
