Color effect cards for Kylie’s Intl Blog Highlights

Color Effect

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I am taking part in a special International Blog Highlight by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop. I would greatly appreciate it if you would please vote for my project. You can vote Tue June 13 @ 8pm Eastern by clicking here

*voting starts Tue 5/13 @ 8pm Eastern time US and lasts for 5 days

I am in slot #1 . Voting is done by clicking on the heart in the upper right hand corner of the picture that appears when your mouse hovers over the photo.

Our theme for this highlight is to make a baby card. We will all be using different Stampin’ Up! products with the same theme, but imagine how many different card designs there will be for new ideas to make for a parent-to-be!

Design Details

The focal point of the card is most certainly the color. Creating dramatic effect with color is at once eye catching. I pulled colors together that share the same color tones. The stamping allowed the center color to be drawn out into the card. Die cuts with shimmery glitter filled in the space in the stamping and helps to transition the eye from the center of the target design.

Greens, yellow and purples would also give a striking color transition. Which will you choose?

For a visual demonstration for making this project, please see the video link below.
