Creating Design Placement with Video

Creating Design Placement

Creating design placement in a card project is not as complicated as it can be. Working within a designated design can make your creation an easy success. Let’s talk today about one way to place items in a design layout.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp

Among the many new stamp sets in the 2017 Annual catalog, Happy Birthday Gorgeous is one of the most versatile. I’ve created a floral card with a summer sunshine feel and not a birthday balloon in sight. The flower stamps are designed to be layered in a 2 step stamping process, however the outline stamp looks great on it’s own.

Creating Design Placement

Creating design placement can be solved in one word; triangle! Placement is one of the most common questions I receive. Arranging your images in a visual triangle works great to what we see in a design. Stretch out the angles and it’s still alright, alternate colors in multiple triangles and you have a layered success!

For a visual demonstration of these techniques, see the video below.
