Bringing new life into your existing stamps part 2

With the coming of new products in the June release of the 2017 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog, we all see loads of new ideas. I’d like to not forget the well loved stamps in our craft supply. Pun Intended stamp set works great with many designs but I notice special connections between this stamp set and the new pack of patterned paper, Pick a Pattern DSP. Many design echoes of other Stampin’ Up! products are included in this package of paper. Keep an eye out for the items in your stash that match.

Design Details

Realizing the connection between Pun Intended stamp set and the new Pick a Pattern DSP was an “a-ha moment” that brought me new ideas. The DSP that accompanied the stamp in the current catalog is very artsy but does not really fit my style. However, this set of hand drawn images is more to my taste and I’m really liking the look.

I pulled the color choices directly from the patterned paper; Basic Black, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. Inside the card is stamped Sahara Sand. To create the camera, I stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink onto Crushed Curry card stock and fussy cut around the image. After cut, I die cut a little starburst from Paisley Framelits Dies and attached it behind the camera’s flash with Snail Adhesive. For interest I added a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots in yellow near the camera.

Pun Intended stamp set is available now in the current catalog. If you do not have it yet, it would be a great choice for general cardmaking. Works for a guy or a gal and especially for someone in your life that has been bitten by the art bug 😉

Having more ways to create a focal point on your project can make a project work for you. Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. I enjoy your “a-ha” moments! Again, I missed you live on FB yesterday. I don’t seem to get a reminder from them. There’s another demonstrator I don’t get notified for too and I have my settings set to receive. Guess I’m going to have to put reminders on my calendar…and hopefully remember to look! Enjoy your day.

    • Hi, Karen! You didn’t miss the FB live… it is today at 1pm eastern. Tune in at my FB business page and I will make a card from the new product called Birthday Delivery. I hope to see you there. Those a-ha moments are crazy! Yesterday I spent an hour looking for the pack of tassels that the boys “relocated” for me. Gladly I did find them and made a project, lol! Have a great day. -Jenny

  2. Thanks for your inspiration and great post. I must spend more time creating with old and new SU. As a Demonstrator I mostly just showcase the new but I don’t part with the old because I only buy what I love, which is a lot!! Lol

    • Hi, Terry! I hear so many crafters not wanting to part with the well loved things they have put their heart into. It’s a common feeling! Thanks very much for taking the time to comment 🙂 -Jenny
