Fresh colors for Spring using Designer Tee with video

Spring will be here soon. Can we stay in Spring and keep away from Summer? My fingers are very cold as I write this post today, so I’m thinking of slightly warmer temperatures for the US. I’m daydreaming of strawberries and sun peeking through clouds…

Measurements for this project are:

scraps of Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz for die cuts
Strip of Tasty Treats DSP: 1″ x 4″
Pear Pizzazz layer: 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
Whisper White embossed panel: 3″ x 4″
Thick Whisper White card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (cut from 4 1/4″ x 11″)

Several elements make this card attractive to me. I like the color contrast of green on white and I like the feel of the embossing on the center panel. For me, the card was all about using this stamp as a focal point. When the focal point is so small, it will require me to leave quite a bit of white space in the design. I do love a clean and simple card design so I chose to direct the eye toward the sentiment. Notice how the eye has the one nice place to rest? The Stitched Shapes dies are here again, helping to complete a nice card design. I like the look of the stitching paired with the Layering Squares.

For a visual demonstration of this project, take a look at the video I made for this project.

For interest, I used a strip of Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Paper to help tie all of the colors together. Can you see the shine to the strawberries and cherries? Stampin’ Up! has clear embossed some of the fruit and it has a nice smooth feel and pretty shine.
