Cool Treats card for #GDP074

This week, the Global Design Project challenge is to use a specific design in a cardmaking project. The idea is to create a card design that is inspired by this sketch.  To view the projects for this challenge, please visit the Global Design Project page by clicking here

To create this creamy dreamy card, I used Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper. The rest of the card components were pulled together to match this paper. I love these pastel colors!

To meet the specifics of the challenge, I created a banner from a strip of white card stock. For something a bit different, I used a star from the Stars Framelits dies to cut away a star from the bottom of the banner. Placing it near the banner but separated just a smidge, brings it into the design and lends a highlight as well.

The sentiment is stamped in Pear Pizzazz to match the layers. I created the popsicle on a scrap of white paper with Pool Party and Crumb Cake. Using a MISTI stamp positioner tool makes it very easy to get a nice clear stamped image.

Measurements for this project are:
Thick Whisper White card stock for card base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (top folded and scored from 4 1/4″ x 11″)
Pear Pizzazz card stock layer:  4″ x 5 1/4″
Tasty Treats DSP:  3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Whisper White card stock scraps for banner strip, popsicle & die cuts 1 3/4″ wide (or as wide as you need it)
Vellum card stock scrap layer at 2 1/4″ wide

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂
