Hostess stamp sets often have some of the best stamping images. Pun Intended stamp set has the cutest images that can be made into many different occasion cards. Today I am using the lightbulb image to make a Valentine’s Day card.
For the card base I started off with Real Red card stock. Once it is scored and folded, it measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (standard US card base). I used a layer of Whisper White card stock that measures 1/8″ smaller than the card base, and finished up with a top layer of Sending Love DSP stack that is an 1/8″ smaller than the white. I made a medallion to hold the image of the light buld and used black, red and white card stock. The red layer is 2″ x 4 1/4″ and the black is 1/8″ larger, the white also 1/8″ smaller.
A bow made of white Baker’s Twine kept the light bulb image from being suspended from no where and I added a few sparkly sequins. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the words in white embossing powder onto black card stock. I always like the look of white on black and it is a nice play on colors with this card, being as there are only three colors being used. I placed this unit at the bottom corner of the central image.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items, at no additional cost to you, as well. Thank you so much for your support with your purchase 🙂
