Traveling Chicks card with video made with Hey Chick for Int’l Stampin Up Blog Highlight

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I am taking part in a special International Blog Highlight by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop. I would greatly appreciate it if you would please vote for my project. You can vote Wed 1/18 @ 4pm Eastern by clicking here   *voting starts Wed 1/18 @ 4pm Eastern time US

Our theme for this highlight is travel, and these chicks look like they are going places 😉

The stamps I used to make this project are Hey Chick stamp set. The sentiment is a general greeting, which will work great for an all occasion greeting and especially for encouragement! We need no special reason to say hello to a friend. This stamp set is available FREE with a $50 product purchase now. There are lots of other free Sale-A-Bration items to choose from as well.

Also featured for this project is the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. I partially embossed the paper by placing the folder into the die cutting machine at an angle and only cranking once. This allowed the top right portion of the paper to remain flat and I had no problem stamping chickens that looked like they were in a crowd. I fussy cut one of each image and placed them in front of the background stamping to give the illusion of depth, as the chicks appear to be moving.

I’ve made a video tutorial for this project. To view the video on YouTube, CLICK HERE

Here is a supply list for this project, which includes links you can click to purchase an item or get detailed information. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂

These components work together to make a nice, clean and simple card design with warm colors. It will be easy for you to duplicate and try a new color scheme. Thanks for visiting my blog today, please make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog  to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop!

Meanwhile, I hope you find a simple card design and make it your own.
