Nailed It thank you card for #GDP069

This week, the Global Design Project challenge card is to use a few specific colors in a cardmaking project. The colors are Delightful Dijon, silver and a bonus color of your choice. This is not a typical color scheme for me, which will force me to fit the challenge in a more creative way. To view the cards for this challenge, please visit the Global Design Project page by clicking here

The bonus color I chose is Soft Suede, which is the color of the handle. I did not set out to have quite this much of Delightful Dijon showing on the finished card! I started out with the card base made of Smoky Slate (measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) and knew I would use the patterned paper from Serene Scenery. I cut a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock and then cut the stars, the square for the sentiment and the saw. I just piled these things up on my work table as they were made and this is what they looked like! And you know what? I liked the way they were situated 🙂   So it was a happy accident.

Nailed it stamp set is the neatest guy set in a long while, don’t you think? I love this saw. I stamped it at a friend’s house a few days ago and knew it would go well with whatever materials presented themselves. Today it all came together 🙂  The All Things Thanks stamp set is full of all occasion thank yous and this one kind of fit the scene. I stamped with Smoky Slate onto white card stock that was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The shiny stuff on the saw is silver embossing powder. You can get the Versamark onto the saw by whatever method works for you. My favorite way would be a VersaMark pen or to use the VersaMark refill and a paint brush. I used a blender pen for the saw’s handle along with Soft Suede ink.

Have you used the Stars Framelits? Sometimes they are all a project needs to get just the right look. Nailed It and Build It dies are available as a bundle for 10% right now in the Occasions catalog. There is practically an entire tool box in this set!

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items as well. Thank you for your support with your purchase 🙂

What a fun stamp set. Father’s Day, birthdays and just about anytime you need a card for a guy… Nailed It will get the job done (hehe). Don’t forget to pop over to the Global Design Project page for my card and all of the other cards made with these colors. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Thanks, Paula! I’m glad you stopped over. Maybe our guys would finish the honey-do lists if they knew a handmade card was in the thanks? LOL -Jenny
