Balloon Adventures card with Party Animal paper with video

Are you ready for Watercolor Pencils? Oh and I have another stamp set to use them with! Balloon Adventures is a different kind of balloon stamp set than what I have used before. There are textured balloons that can be hand colored, as well as some great sentiments. I the same Suite of products is Party Animal DSP (patterned paper). Have you ever purchased a pack of paper because you had to have only one sheet in the set? This is it for me! I LOVE this paper with the animals in party hats. Awesome!

I used a Thick Whisper White card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ after scored and folded. To decorate the card front, I used a piece of Crushed Curry card stock and patterned paper for layers. Party Animal designer series paper has the image of all sorts of animals in party hats and is busy enough to carry itself as a focal image. I cut this piece large enough for several of the animal images to remain uncut, so they can play a role in the celebration theme of this card.

It’s very easy to use these pencils. You can even color the images and leave them as is, which will give you a different look from watercoloring. Try adding more color by giving a heavy pressure, and the depth of color will intensify. A lighter touch will give you a lighter shade of coloring. Either way, it’s a nice way to create a handmade card to share. After coloring the balloons, I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to pop them off the paper. For a visual demonstration on using these pencils, check out the link below for a video tutorial.
