Thoughtful Banners stamps and Party Animal DSP

Sale-A-Bration is here! My sons love to look at the Party Animal patterned paper. I felt I needed to make a masculine card for them from this paper that they could relate to, so I went with the image of candles. Are candles the universal symbol for a birthday? My oldest son relates birthdays with blowing out candles and singing happy birthday, so this card design will say it all at one glance 🙂

The What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog’s theme this week is to use Thoughtful Banner stamp set on a card project. Here is my combo for using this stamp set and the Party Animal paper. The card base is made with Thick Whisper White card stock. Once it is scored and folded, it measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (standard US card base). I used a layer of the Party Animal DSP that is 5 1/2″ tall and 1 1/2″ wide. For a nice balance visually, I flipped the paper over and used the blue side, backed with blue card stock. It all works together!

The sentiment is created using Thoughtful Banners stamp set, from the Annual Catalog. There is a punch that works to pop out the word banner, which is handy for making a quick card. I used ink colors that were echoed in the paper’s color scheme and glued them down to the blue area of the card front. Very simple and a touch masculine.

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items as well. Thank you so much for your support with your purchase 🙂

This is really fun paper! There are several ways I can see to use the images in different projects. Stay tuned later this week for another project with this paper that is really versatile. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you come back soon.
