Dragonfly Dreams card with vellum

The Occasions, or Spring, Catalog release from Stampin’ Up! is approaching soon. Here is a sneak peek into one of the bundled items that I am excited to share with you. Dragonfly Dreams project ideas are already popping up around the internet. Not only is there a dragonfly thinlit and stamp, there is a large bumble bee image as well.

I used a Perfect Plum card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ after scored and folded. To decorate the card front, I used a piece of white card stock and patterned paper. Serene Scenery DSP (patterned paper) has a great number of images and I chose one image that has circles in a repeat pattern and topped it with a piece of vellum.

The details on this stamp are beautiful. The wings are so detailed and stamp out very well. I stamped my dragonfly onto vellum paper. Vellum takes some time to dry, so make sure to allow yourself time for the ink to dry if you are using the same method I have used. Once dry, I dabbed some sparkle from a Clear Wink of Stella brush to give the wings some high and low lights. After all was dry, I cut out the image with a framelit and mounted it onto the vellum panel with a glue dot. Just one did the trick. I wrapped some silver thread around the die cut and popped on a few rhinestones to balance the images.

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card project. Links are here that you can click to get product info and purchase items as well. Thank you so much for your support with your purchase 🙂

These stamps are very easy to use. It can handle being the focal point of your card or used as an accent to coordinate. I can not wait to show you the other dies in this set as well. Occasions Catalogs have been mailed out so keep watch out for the mail. Be sure to check out the dies too!  Lets make it together 🙂
