Using old Paper Pumpkin kits for Christmas Cards

How did it go with making Christmas cards this year? Did you finish? (I didn’t finish yet!) I ran short of supplies in making my card design so I dug into my past Paper Pumpkin kits. I found treasure in those boxes!

Can you determine which kits I used for these cards? I repurposed the materials and in some cases, I brought in new supplies to add with what I had. Here is a summary, by card, of how I made use of the kit’s materials.

This card was made from a long, accordion style banner. The folds were already in place so it was easy to determine where to cut. The envelopes were with the kit and needed only to be assembled. The twine was also a nice addition I added to the top of the clean and simple card. I brought in Star of Light stamp set on Dapper Denim ink. This kit made up a good number of cards and was a tremendous help with meeting my quota.

Here is a recent kit. I swapped out the fall colored sequins for Fancy Frost Sequins from the Holiday Catalog and sprinkled a little glitter in as well. The sentiment was used from Paper Pumpkin’s November kit. Super easy and I got a few more cards out of these supplies. I’m now glad that I didn’t make up all the Autumn shakers 🙂

This kit was a card and box kit. I love the gold foil accent on the cardstock! I added a simple sentiment from Wonder of Christmas and kept it to a simple design. The banners were in the kit as well, I just added the black metallic thread as an accent. This kit made up into some very pretty cards.

This card was made almost to the instructions on the November kit. The stamp set is gorgeous and these die cuts are too pretty! I made the entire kit the same way and am excited to send these cards.

Sharing a handmade card is always a great way to show that you care for someone. Being able to reduce your craft kits and inventory are a big plus. I hope you have less stress when meeting the number of cards you need to send this year. I am trying to stay laid back and not stress (not totally working though). Stay tuned for the December kit, which I have not yet received. I hear it is a planner or album, not exactly sure yet. But I know it will be great.
