September 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternative #2 (Hello card)

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly box that arrives by mail directly to my door. In some kits are 3D projects and some months are card kits. On months when it’s a project and not a card kit, I find it especially envigorating to think up card ideas using the supplies in the kit. There is always a stamp set, so half of the work is done 🙂

I chose the sunflower stamp to make this card. I used a card base of Tip Top Taupe and a layer of Delightful Dijon, both colors that were included in supplies for the kit. The small banner was part of the kit, I just added ink for the stamp. I also added a piece of ribbon, then used the linen thread from the kit.

The repeat pattern for the background was quick and simple. I used Delightful Dijon to carry through the color theme, stamping off several times to get the variance in color.

Here is a supply list I used in making this card, though it’s a short list. Most supplies were in the kit 🙂

Thanks for joining me for another card making adventure today. Let’s make it together.
