Home Sweet Home bird house

Are you much for bird watching? My family are bird watchers from wayyyyyy back. Bird houses in the yard are not only commonplace but kind of expected. When the Home Sweet Home stamp and die set was released, I saw a chance for yet another bird house. The small house made from the die set is the perfect size to make a bird house for a greeting card.

I chose to not over complicate the bird house and let it be bold in it’s form. It looks really great with a copper embossed bird as well. I used Serene Scenery DSP for a realistic background paper that would give the true appearance of trees and paired it with Petal Burst embossing folder that lends a mock appearance of leaves. For my taste, they do not over-complicate one another. I did a bit of sponging around the bird house and die cut the hole to mount it in recess for depth.
