Forever Evergreen build your own Christmas tree

Upon seeing today’s featured stamp set, Forever Evergreen, two things simultaneously happened in my mind. I heard Barbra Streisand singing and I saw the potential to build a Christmas tree from the branches up. As I created this card, I’m sorry to say I did not have Barbra here to sing to me, but I did hear her words singing of how love is evergreen.

I stamped the tree branches directly onto the cardstock that had a little bit of background sponging. I wanted there to not be much white space between the branches that would give the illusion of depth. The ornaments are colored with Copic alcohol markers, then cut out and placed on the card with foam adhesive. For a bit of tinsel and twinkle, I used a gazillion sequins and some gold metallic thread. It does sparkle in the right lighting 🙂

Here is a list of supplies I used, just click the picture to go directly to the shop for item details.

This is a stamp set to be used when making a kit from the catalog, Forever Evergreen Project Kit. This kit allows you to make three entire 3D decorated trees. And I tell you, they are BIG trees! To check out the kit, click here. At the link there is a video made by Stampin’ Up! to help put the kit together. I like to feel like I am getting the most use for my crafting dollars and that one stamp set is used for more than just a kit. So, with this in mind, I think you will be seeing a lot more from this little stamp set.

Thanks for stopping over today! Does it feel like the holidays to you, yet? I am seeing a few brown leaves on the trees and I like what I see! Take care to you all, I’ll be back tomorrow with another card.
