When you find yourself with a piece of crafting paper that you are reluctant to cut, for it being too beautiful, do you eventually cut it? Or do you mount it on the wall and gaze at it for hours? I cut it.
I have been known to gaze at designer paper and not want to cut it, until one day I realized that I could appreciate it more if I let it shine for someone else… in a card. Such is the case with the lovely copper foil inlay designer paper from the Holiday Catalog. Petals and Paisleys is a large pack of paper but only two sheets contain the copper foil. Out at the same time, and in the holiday catty as well, is the Copper Foil cardstock. I already love the gold and silver cardstock and this is no exception. It’s just grand and works perfectly with Stampin’ Up!’s copper embossing powder, copper metallic thread and papers.
I share this card with you today! What I like in particular about this design layout is that it lets the paper be the focus without cratering the card. The sentiment matches well in copper foil cardstock and compliments the paper. I added a simple linen thread accent for interest to complete the card.
