August 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Hello Stampers! It is the month of August now, summer is starting to wind down and I am seeing a slight change in colors. The craft stores have Fall decorations prominently displayed and even have Christmas supplies on shelf. Instead of rushing through the season, although I wish we could rush past this heatwave, I am taking time to feel and see the transition of season through my little world.

The kids are getting ready to head back to school in 18 days (and counting!) and we just purchased winter coats and school uniforms. The trees I see are dropping leaves and the crickets have started invading my home, lol. It’s these little things that tell me that summer is winding down here in New Jersey.

The folks at Paper Pumpkin have jumped on board to give a kit filled with summer and fall color, both. Blues and browns and muted green are in store for your cardmaking in this Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a card kit as well, as it seems we have been seeing more 3D projects as of late and I am happy to see some card making materials. Here is what Paper Pumpkin is advertising for the completed card kit:

Do you like the colors? Honestly, I did not take well to them at first and I did not like how they had the cards assembled. I decided to make my own alternative version this month. I made a video for you to see how my cards came out and to help you create a different version of the kit, if that is your choice.
