Detailed Floral Thinlit’s lovely, lacy card

I have admired the look of the Detailed Floral Thinlit for some time, with it’s intricate lace work. The opportunity arose recently for me to use these dies, so I grabbed them and headed to the die cut machine with enthusiasm. Keeping in mind that the background paper would show quite a bit, I chose vanilla cardstock as a contrast to the rich purple colors of the die cut. Paired with these colors, I chose a middle ground and used a soft brown.

Letting the die be the focus, I chose a small sentiment to fit in the open section, stamped in the same soft brown as the cardstock. The die does all the work here in this card, it was so much more fast to put together than a typical card I usually make. If you have not tried this type of die, I do suggest you give it a try. There is a great number of possibilities here using this die and I have merely scratched the surface. I added gold accents to the flower centers with gold glitter glue for a subtle amount of twinkle.

Here are the items I have used to make my card:

Thanks for stopping by to see this card today, I do hope you enjoyed seeing the pretty effect it lends to any card.

Let’s make it together, with die cuts 🙂
