Lemonade Card

Are you ready for a nice, cool glass of lemonade?

I started with a top folding card base, measured 4 1/4″ wide by 11″ tall, then scored it at 5 1/2″. The 2015-2017 designer paper is cut to 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ and the Affectionately Yours is cut to 4″ x 3″. I glued this unit together with liquid glue then glued on the doily and set it aside. I then cut the 2 jar pieces on the Big Shot using the medium sized jar framelit, after I stamped the images on the white paper. Crushed Curry ink pad worked out great for the stamping of lemonade inside the jar. Using the pointy edge of my scissors, I made a slit under the rim of the paper jar. Now I slid in the straw that I had cut from the 2015-17 dsp. The vellum is adhered to the jar unit with glue dots. I didn’t do any stamping on the vellum.

After folding and scoring the card base, I sponged on a light amount of Pool Party ink to give the appearance of depth to the card and look like a summer sky. The fireflies are stamped on next, followed by the firefly lights and then the sentiment. Now I used dimensionals to layer on the paper unit and placed dimensionals under the top of the jar to keep it from laying on the card. I can see the straw in action now!

This is a fun card to gift and also fun to make. You could change out the papers to use up something in your stash or if you can not resist using this lemony paper, I would not hold it against you 🙂
